cacti forest
originals: watercolour on 300gsm cold-pressed watercolour paper 23x31cm
prints: printed on 250gsm art paper
mural: gouache on glass
This set of watercolour paintings feature cacti forests, one in blue and the other in green.
The original paintings were later used as inspiration for a window mural that I did for an event at Cafe Zarah, "Art for Nature". This was my first year participating in this event which celebrated and raised awareness about environmental sustainability. Stickers and prints were also created and sold at the event.

Chaoyang Trap is a newsletter about everyday life on the Chinese internet. It is an exploration of contemporary China, one niche at a time. Chaoyang trap is interested in marginal subcultures, tiny obsessions, and unexpected connections.
In May 2021, I was approached by contributor Krish Raghav to create a banner illustration for a piece about fashionable senior citizens' street wear and its documentation on Chinese social media platform, Xiaohongshu.
